THE FARMHOUSE
On the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, just 3 km from the motorway exit of Casteggio, in a natural beauty scenario between Pavia, Milan and Vigevano, stands the Centro Cinofilo Il Biancospino.
The area of Oltrepò, besides being famous for its landscape is particularly suitable for rural tourism. The agriturismo offers a rich and healthy cuisine for those who love local products that still preserve their traditional local taste.
The holiday is a moment of pause for the whole family.
A typical farmhouse is available to customers, traditionally furnished, offers personalized education courses with their own dog.
The property is open to all those who dream of a relaxing holiday, with the possibility of mountain bike rides, trails for dog-trekking, hiking, picnics in the woods and horse riding. Inside there are nature areas; in the park you can see donkeys, sheep, gerbils, goats, rabbits and geese.
Educational farm
Children love dogs and often their desire is not satisfied by the family due to organizational problems.
This is an opportunity to meet the magical world of Fido and to be owners of a dog for a day.
It will be nice to approach the animals, ducks, geese, chickens, cocks and learn about the habits of the Sardinian donkeys.
PROGRAM DAY
- The visit to the farm and the agricultural park:
Golden Retrievers and Samoyeds are the breeds bred at Hawthorn, particularly suitable for the family. Children will play with the puppies and visit the farm to get to know our adult specimens. The visit will continue in the agricultural park where animals are housed in specially organized areas. - Sport with Fido:
Farm breeds are particularly suited to sport. Children will see them in expression, in an agility obstacle course. - The education of Fido:
The importance of dog education is described by the instructor during outdoor lessons or in the gym in case of bad weather. The children will perform the exercises directly with the dogs of the farm. - Art workshop:
In the classroom, children will observe the dog positioned in its best morphological expression. The educator will tell stories about breeds and anecdotes about dogs. Children can express their imagination during art workshops. - With Faith in nature:
The natural setting in which Il Biancospino is inserted lends itself to an observation route of the surrounding nature in the various seasons of the year. The dogs of the farm will accompany the walks guided by our instructors.
Horticulture laboratory
The garden is a simple and possible experience for children who can understand the origin of table food, seasonality and products of our territory.
At the end of the route, children can take home the jar they have made to continue cultivation at school or in their family, accompanied by a leaflet.

- manual work for the preparation and identification of various seeds or seedlings
- the artistic realization of some materials (seed boxes, product tags, scarecrows)

- the activity of planting products (seeds or seedlings) depending on the season
- the analysis of fruits from the garden with the guidance sheet dedicated to visual examination, tactile examination, olfactory examination and gustatory examination
- the representation of the fairy tale of the garden where all children are protagonists impersonating a vegetable.

- Tasting
A pleasant dish made of truffles immersed in the context of the Ceresino forest at the farm Il Biancospino all accompanied by a glass of wine from Cantine Montini.
- Truffle hunting
The experience begins in the middle of nature: you will participate in the truffle hunt in our truffle, in the enchanting forests of the hills of the valley Staffora, under the guidance of an expert guide and the trained dog.
Path of the gnomes
The Gnome King got up. It was not yet dawn, but he could not sleep.
And yes, he was really excited! On the other hand, everyone would be excited
on a day like that! The old king would never have admitted it, of course,
But that was a really important day and he felt so proud and happy, but also a little agitated.
"Well, it’s not every day that something like this happens," the old gnome thought to himself
"And anyway - thought the king of the gnomes again - I felt it would end like this!"
And yes, because the Gnome King felt things and always knew how it would end.
The Queen of the Gnomes was still asleep.
"I will begin to prepare myself" said the King of the gnomes and meanwhile continued to think...
Play activity for a minimum of 10 children aged 6 to 12
It takes place on Saturday and Sunday by reservation in the natural setting of Monte Ceresino.
The price includes:
