PET THERAPY


Training in IAA (Animal Assisted Interventions).

Il Biancospino is collaborating with Fidia Srl and Dogbliss to conduct: Propaedeutic, BASIC, ADVANCED, PROJECT RESPONSIBILITY and INTERVENTION REFERENCE COURSE in the field of ANIMAL-Assisted Interventions, according to the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health.

On-site pet therapy classes

Il Biancospino is IAA Reference Centre with Residential Animals, according to national guidelines. We organize pet therapy classes with our IAA-approved dogs on site by appointment. We participate in IAA projects in the dedicated sites on behalf of RSA, RSD, ASSOCIATIONS, COMMUNITIES OF RECOVERY, SCHOOLS.
The activity is monitored by Dr. Renata Fossati of Albero Verde. The Hawthorn selects and prepares partner dogs and sets up in the family useful subjects to the needs of the disabled.
The Biancospino contract instructors have been responsible for years, commissioned by Purina, for the realization of practical meetings with the dog in schools participating in the project "A Scuola di PETCARE".

Assisted interventions with animals

Legislation

To obtain the IAA certificate of aptitude, all three courses (propaedeutic, basic and advanced) must be successfully completed within a four-year period.

For the sole figure of "Activity Manager" is sufficient the certificate issued at the end of the preparatory course.
In the Lombardy Region, training courses for IAA can only be carried out by those accredited to the training services.

Recipients and access requirements

Individuals who wish to assume the role of animal assistant, IAA expert veterinary doctor (only for graduates in Veterinary Medicine), project manager, intervention contact and activity manager.

Requirements for access to the course: Diploma of upper secondary school first grade 18 years old at the time of registration Written and oral comprehension of the Italian language
